Lin Andrews

My main responsibility is to ensure the continuity of our business so that it can uphold its cultural values and fulfill its purpose. In supporting our team and customers, I focus on developing wise and discerning strategies to meet their ever-changing needs.

The core value that resonates most with me is "Family above career." Simply by offering flexibility of work hours and even a play room for after-school hours, we have attracted and retained excellent staff members who give a lot to our clients.

One of my favorite aspects of my job is recognising and celebrating the outstanding achievements of our staff members. It brings me great joy to acknowledge their excellence and dedication.

As an interesting fact about me: After being required to leave school at the intermediate level, I dedicated the next 12 years to night school and joining various organisations to expand my education. I served as a Councilor of the City of Henley & Grange at the young age of 24 and became an Alderman at 26. Now, at 80 years old, I still find joy in working and remain self-sufficient without relying on government assistance.

Outside of work, I enjoy immersing myself in the beauty of nature, particularly along the magnificent River Murray. Whether I'm reading, writing, or watching my grandchildren water-ski, being surrounded by the river's birds, breathtaking sunrises, and stunning sunsets brings me a sense of peace and serenity. I'm also an active member of my local church.

“Weakest green ink is more powerful than the strongest memory."
- an old Chinese proverb
